DISTRICT TO THE COUNTY OF BUTTE
WHEREAS, the Palermo Union School District, a California public school benefit (District), is owner in fee of that
certain real property situated in the Town, of Palermo, identified with Assessor's Parcel Number #026-152-001-
000 (Property); and
WHEREAS, on June 111, 1971, the District granted to the County, a ground lease for a portion of the Property for
the purpose of constructing and operating thereon at the County's own cost and expense, improvements to
include a fire station building, an apparatus bay and a fuel pumping station, AKA Fire Station 72, with a street
address of 2290 Palermo Road, (Premises); and
WHEREAS, said ground lease of the Premises expired on June 30', 2021 and the Parties now desire to enter into a
new lease for a rental fee of $2.00 (two dollars and no cents) per year for 48 (forty eight) years which can be
referenced in the office of the clerk of the board of supervisors via butte county contract X24449; and
WHEREAS, the Premises are presently occupied by the County and the Parties agree that the presence of a fire
station will be of mutual benefit to the Parties and will constitute valuable consideration forthis Agreement; and
WHEREAS, California Government Code section 25526 requires a resolution adopted by the Board of
Supervisors declaring its intention to lease a portion of the Property;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Butte County Board of Supervisors hereby adopts this resolution as
declaration of its intent to lease the aforementioned Property;
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Butte County Board of Supervisors this loth day of August, 2021 by the following
vote:
AYES: Supervisors Luicero', Ritter, Kimmelshue, Teeter, and Chair Connelly
