HomeMy WebLinkAbout21-119Resolution No. 21-119 RESOLUTION RECOGNIZING COURT EXECUTIVE OFFICER KIMBERLY FLE�NER UPON HER RETIREMENT FROI THE BUTTE COUNTY SUPERIOR COURT WHEREAS, Ms. Flener has served the community of Butte County through over 14 years of dedicated service to the Butte County Superior Court, beginning her career with the Butte County Superior Court im3006as amExecutive Program Analyst, p�mmmoteUtmAssistant Court Executive Officer imJanuary 20Q8,and Ms. Henerwas appointed toCourt Executive Officer imM�enrh 2010; and WHEREAS, Ms. F|enerserved the citizens, ofButte County through innovative programs that provided greater access 10justice for the citizens ofButte County including the deployment of a new case management system, electronic filing, online case access,and online juror services; and WHEREAS, Ms, Flener served the citizens of Butte County by assisting with leadership toward the construction of the North Butte County Courthouse wherein the citizens of Butte County benefit from e larger courthouse with modern, features; aind WHEREAS, Ms. Rener served the citizens of Butte County by instituting modern features in both courthouse locations to serve the citizens more quickly and efficiently through e queuing system at the Uerk's Office, and online access for case review, as well as remote services for fines and fees reducing the need to come to the courthouse and reducing the, wait time for services; and WHEREAS, Ms. F|emer served the citizens of Butte County as a well and trusted justice partner, coordinating with Butte County leaders during times of natural disasters to ensure the needs of court users were met while partnering with County leadership during times of peril including during the {]moviMe Dano Spillway incident, the Camp Fire, the North Complex Fire, aind during the coronavirus pandemic; and WHEREAS, Mo. F|emer served the citizens of Butte County by asserting the needs of the community at a statewide level by being appointed by the Chief Justice of the California Supreme Court to serve on the Judicial Cnumd| for two distinct terms, totaling four years, and by serving as the Chair ofthe Court Executives Advisory Committee, advocating for the needs of the court and cmurt users for the Butte County community and those similarly situated; and WHEREAS, Ms F|emer has served the citizens of Butte County through leadership, planning, and coordination with local and state leaders and with the advice and consent of the Board of Judges,toensure equal accessLojusticefora|i NOW, THEREFORE, BE[TRESOLVED that the Butte County Board ofSupervisors hereby express its deep appreciation fmrthe exemplary service and unselfish dedication of Butte SuperiorCourt Executive Officer Kimberly FUenerfor her service tothe citizens ofButte County.
