an allocation of fu,n,ds through the CallHome Program; and
WHEREAS, the California Department of Housing and community Development (hereinafter referred to as
°NCD^)has issued aNotice mf Funding Availability ("NOFA°)onAugust 6,2O21for the Ca8Home program established bv
Chapter 04,Statues nf200O(SB1656A|arcon),and codified |oChapter 6(commencing with section 5DG58)ofPart 2of
division 31ofthe Health and Safety Code (the etatmre). Pursuant tothe statues, HCDisauthorized toapprove funding
allocations, utilizing monies made available by the state Legislature to the {a|Hmme Program, subject to the terms and
conditions of the statute and the CalHonle Program Regulations adopted by HCD in April 2004;,and
WHEREAS, the County of Butte wishes to submit an application to obtain from HCD an allocation of CalHome
funds imthe amount mf $1,850,000; and
WHEREAS, the County of Butte shall submit to HCD an application to participate in the CalHome Program in
response tmthe N(}FA issued on August 6, 2021 which will request a funding allocation for the following activities:
Owner Occupied Housing Rehabilitation in the unincorporated area of Butte County in the amount of $1,56,2,000 and
Accessory DvveU|ingUnits nrJunior Accessory Dwelling Units throughout Butte County imthe amount of$288,O00;and
WHEREAS, if the application for funding is approved, the County of Butte hereby agrees to use the CalHome
funds for eligible activities in the manner presented in the application as approved by HCD and in accordance with the
program regulations cited a:bmve. The eppUicetioninfull isincorporated ampart ofthe Standard Agreement. Any and all
activities funded, information provided, and timelines represented in, the application are enforceable through the
Standard Agreement. TheCoumtyofRut1eaokmovx|edgesandagreeathatitrnayberequiredtoexecutedanyanda||
other instruments necessary or required by HCD for participation in the CalHome Program; and
WHEREAS, The County VfButte authorizes the Chief Administrative Officer, ordesignees imthe event that
sufficient evidence afdesignation UsprovdedtotheDepertmentLoeuecmteinthenenneof the County mfButte, the
application, the Standard Agreement, and any subsequent amendments, ormodifications thereto, aswell asany other
documents required by HCD for participation in the CalHome Programs, a:nd any amendments thereto.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Butte County Board of Supervisors hereby authorizes the submittal
of an application to the California State Department of Housing and Community Development for funding under the
and any related documents necessary to participate in the CalHome Program,
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Butte County Board of Supervisors this 26 1h day of October, 2021, by the following vote:
