RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE GRANT OF A NON-EXCLUSIVE EASEMENT FOR WATER LINE PURPOSES TO THE
THERMALITO WATER AND SEWER DISTRICT TO PROVIDE SERVICE TO THE
NEW EVIDENCE STORAGE AND MORGUE FACILITIES
WHEREAS, the County of Butte ("County") is constructing new Evidence Storage and Morgue facilities on County
owned real property located at 1 Gillick Way, Oroville, California with an Assessor's parcel number of 031-040-048
("ESM"); and
WHEREAS, Thermalito Water and Sewer District ("District") is the service provider of record that will supply water
to the ESM with the installation of a new District owned water line ("Project"); and
WHEREAS, the County is owner in Fee of the real property identified as Assessor's parcel numbers 031-040-045
and 031-040-047 situate in the City of Oroville, County of Butte, State of California ("Property"); and
WHEREAS, for the District to complete the Project on a portion of the Property, the District requires that the
County grant a non-exclusive easement with rights of ingress and egress to the easement area as described in Exhibit A —
Easement Description and depicted on Exhibit B — Plat to Accompany Easement Description ("Easement Area"); and
WHEREAS, consistent with the direction that the General Services Department received from the Butte County
Board of Supervisors on February 13, 2018, the County has worked with the District to develop an easement area on
County owned real property that is limited to what is necessary for the District to complete their Project; and
vote:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Butte County Board of Supervisors do hereby:
1. Approve the conveyance of non-exclusive real property easement rights over a portion of County
owned real property to the District.
2. Authorize the Director, General Services to execute all documents necessary to facilitate the
conveyance including the Easement Grant Deed.
