HomeMy WebLinkAbout21-179UPON RETIREMENT FROM BUTTE COUNTY DEPARTMENT OF BEHAVIORAL HEALTH WHEREAS, Angel Calderon -Diaz, Behavioral Health Counselor |U with the Department of Behavioral Health (BCDBH), has announced his retirement effective December 31, 2021; and WHEREAS, AngO began his career with the County of Butte on, September 11, 1995 as a Mental Health Counselor | and was promoted to Mental Health Counselor U on December 28, 1996. His title later changed no Behavioral Health Counselor, where he has been a Counselor for B[DBH for little over I6years. Angel provided services in Oruv|Ue and Chico and since 2008 mainly served the Gridley area. WHEREAS, Angel worked hand to successfully develop a culturally -sensitive program for Spanish-speaking consumers |mthe South County area. He developed strong partnerships in the community with multiple partners in an effort to enhance consumer cane. Angel has been an avid supporter ofPromnotores, he has been a liaison between Northern VaNeyCatholic Social Services, Behavioral Health, and the cmmnmun|ty. WHEREAS, overdheyears Angel has been recognized bvthe community, inZU08hewas recognized for integrating into, the community and was named Gridley's "Man of the Year."' WHEREAS, Angel has worked diligently for the past ]Gyears inthe best interest of Butte County and its residents earning the respect ofthe BCDBHleadership, colleagues, City ofGridley, contract providers and�,the many consumers he served over the years. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Butte County Board mf Supervisors hereby extends its appreciation for your many years of dedicated service.
