PROGRAM AMERICAN RESCUE PLAN ACT
WHEREAS, the Butte County Board of Supervisors is the governing body of the Butte County Operational Area;
WHEREAS, the County of Butte recognizes the need to participate in programs that enhance the overall mitigation,
preparedness, response and recovery capabilities of local emergency response agencies from natural and manmade
hazards: and
WHEREAS, the Fiscal Year 2021 Emergency Management Performance Grant Program — American Rescue Plan
Act will provide up to $61,584 in funds to support activities that contribute to the mitigation, prevention, preparation,
response and recovery from emergencies and disasters, whether natural or man-made; and
WHEREAS, the resources provided by the grant will meet the stated goals of the Butte County Disaster Council,
which represents the incorporated and unincorporated jurisdictions of Butte County.
NOW THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED that the Butte County Office of Emergency Management shall) apply
for the funds available from the Fiscal Year 2021 Emergency Management Performance Grant Program -American Rescue
Plan Act; and
IT IS FURTHER RESOLVED that the Chief Administrative officer, Assistant Chief Administrative Officer and the
Deputy Administrative Officers of Butte County are hereby designated as authorized representatives of the County of
Butte for the purpose of receipt, processing, and coordination of all inquiries and requirements necessary to obtain the
assistance provided by the Fiscal Year 2021 Emergency Management Performance Grant Program -American Rescue Plan
Act.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Butte County Board of Supervisors this 141" day of December 2021, by the following
vote:
AYES: Supervisors Lucero, Ritter, Kimmelshue, Teeter and Chair Connelly
NOES: None
ABSENT: None
ABSTAIN.: None
