ASSESSOR'S PARCEL NUMBER 055-500-043, TO THE CALIFORNIA DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION
WHEREAS, the County of Butte ("County") is the owner in Fee of the real property identified as Assessor's parcel
number 055-500-043, consisting of approximately 164.29 acres adjacent to Clark Road in Paradise, California ("Property");
and
WHEREAS, the State of California, Department of Transportation! ("Caltrans") has proposed a projecttha1 will
stretch from 0.3 miles south of Airport Road to 0.2 miles north of Old Clark Road. The purpose is10improve cut slope
stability, minimize rock and sediment falling onto the roadway, address drainage issues, improve safety for maintenance,
enhance safety and mobility for all roadway users and provide for the safer flow of traffic in emergency situations
WHEREAS, Caltrans requests, that the County convey real property rights hmthePrnpertyofapproximetok/37/697
squame feet in Fee Simple Title and approxirmate|v4,QS0 square feet in Drainage Easements to Caltrans,. Based on the
value caUcw|atimmscontained in, the Code ofCivil Procedure Section 12G3.328and Section 1263.321 the total consideration
tobepaid tuthe County is$3,5O0; and
WHEREAS, in support of the Project and consistent with the direction that the General Services Department
("Department") received from the Butte County Board of Supervisors in closed session on August 10, 2021, the
Department has reviewed Calltrans request and finds that the proposed conveyamce will not result in a detriment to the
County's remainder parcel.
NOW, THEREFORE, BEDRESOLVED, that the Butte County Board of Supervisors do hereby:
1. Approve the conveyance of the real property rights to Caltrans as depicted in Exhibit "A" of the Grant
Deed.
2. Authorize the Director, General Services to execute all documents necessary to facilitate the conveyance,
including the Right mfWay Contract, the Grant Deed and the Drainage Easement Deed.

following vote:
