SERVICE FUND (ISF) AND TRUST ACCOUNT BALANCE
VVHBlEA8 the Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte adopted Resolution #79-149 on July 24, 1979
establishing both an | niter -govern mental Service Fund and a bank account to be held inTrust with Fiscal Agent pursuant
toGovernment Code #252G3;and
WHEREAS, California Government Code Section 29320 eL seq. provides for the establishment of such funds in,
amou:nts to be determined by the Board of Supervisors; and
WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte adopted Resolution #99'147 which established
$175,000 as the adequate balance to be maintained in the bank account; and
WHEREAS, both County Risk Management and the company handling the processing of workers' compensation
claims for the [muntyhave requested an increase in the account held with the Fiscal Agent to be adequate to pay workers'
compensation benefits during athirty (3Q) day period; and
WHEREAS, Risk Management and the Auditor believe it necessary to increase the amount held in Trust with Fiscal
Agent because of the increase in workers' compensation claims activity and payments; and
WHEREAS, the Risk Manager is instructed pursuant to Section 29323 of the California Government Code to amend
by endorsement the blanket fidelity bond of the County to be conditioned in addition to its other provisions, upon the
taithfm|administrabonoftherevo|vin8fundaMdup0nthevvi|Nn8neosamdmbi|ityoftheprimoi9a|forvvhonmsuchfundhas
been established to account for an pay over the, fund upon demand of the Board of Supervisors at any time; and
WHEREAS, certified copies of this resolution, shall be transmitted to the County Auditor and County Treasurer;
WHEREAS, the Risk Manager or his/her designee will account for the Workers' Compensation TrustAccount held
in Trust with Fiscal Agent in accordance with Government Code Section 29390 et. seg. and will periodically request
replacement based mmproperly documented vouchers.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE|TRESOLVED that the Butte County Board mf Supervisors hereby:
1. Rescind resolution # 99-147 and all amendments and replace with this resolution.
2. The amount held imTrust with Fiscal Agent isestabKishedaa$375,0001.
3. The Auditor ofthe County of Butte is hereby authorized and directed to dram/ a warrant in the aunn of $200,000
for deposit into the Workers' Compensation Trust Account held inTrust with Fiscal Agent from the Workers'
Compensation 1.3.F.Fund.
