HomeMy WebLinkAbout22-007RESOLUTION RECOGNIZING JANUARY 24,2022— JANUARY 28, 2022 AS EMPLOYMENT AND ELIGIBILITY STAFF RECOGNITION WEEK WHEREAS, Employment and Eligibility Professionals provide excellent customer service with dignity and respect to the thousands of Butte County residents seeking employment and social services; and WHEREAS, Eligibility Professionals continue to effectively administer critical eligibility programs including CaIWORKs, CalFresh, General Assistance and Medi -Cal in a timely manner to ensure customers receive all benefits they are eligible to; and WHEREAS, in 2021, Employment Services Professionals served an average of 1,500 families per month, in the CalWORKs program to assist them in obtaining self-sufficiency; and WHEREAS, in 2021, Employment Services Professionals helped over 300 families find safe and secure housing; and WHEREAS, in 20,21, Eligibility Professionals served more than 16,000 individuals and families per month in the CallFresh program to assist them in, obtaining and maintaining food benefits-, and WHEREAS, Eligibility Professionals assisted more than 39,000 individuals and families per month in obtaining and maintaining Medi -Cal benefits to ensure medical coverage was available to them; and WHEREAS, it is important that all citizens of Butte County recognize Employment and Eligibility Professionals who serve our County residents with competence and compassion, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Butte County Board of Supervisors hereby declares the week of January 24til through January 28th', 2022 as Employment and Eligibility Staff Recognition Week in Butte County to honor its Employment and Eligibility Professionals, Supervisors, and Administrative Support staff. vote: PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Butte County Board of Supervisors this 25th day of January, 2022, by the following AYES: Supervisors Lucero, Ritter, Teeter and Vice Chair Kimmelshue NOES: None ABSENT: Chair Connelly ABSTAIN: None Andy Pickett, Chief Administrative Officer and Cle of the Board of Supervisors By: Deputyl Vice Chair Butte aunty Board of Supervisors
