HomeMy WebLinkAbout22-008WHEREAS, Butte County proposes to facilitate implementation of the Foothill Solar Community Drinking Water
Compliance Project (Project);
WHEREAS, the Project is being implemented in response to a drought scenario, ais defined by WaterCode
section 1.3198(a), and is intended to: (1), address immediate impacts on human health and safety; (2), address immediate
impacts onfish and wildlife resources; or, (3)provide water to persons orcommunities that lose orare threatened with
the loss mrcontamination ofwater supplies;
WHEREAS, Butte County ha!sthe legal authority and isauthorized toenter into a funding agreement with the
State ofCalifornia; and
WHEREAS, Butte County intends to apply for grant funding from the California Department ofWater Resources
for the Project;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED tha:t the Butte County Board of Supervisors hereby authorizes the following:
1. That pursuant and subject to all of the terms and provisions of Budget Act of2021 (Stats. 2821' ch. 69, 6 112), the
Direr1mrofthe Department ofVVeterand Resource Conservation (DinectoN,ordesignee, bhereby authorized and directed
to prepare and file an application for funding with the Department of Water Resources, and take such other actions as
necessary or appropriate to obtain grant funding,
2.The Director, mrdesignee, iahereby authorized and directed toexecute the funding agreement with the Department of
Water Resources and any amendments thereto.
3. The Director, or designee, is hereby authorized and directed to submit any required documents, invoices, and reports
required to obtain grant funding.
