Face Mask Guidance
The requirements regarding the use of face
masks in California have changed. As of
March 1, 2022 masks will no longer be
required in most indoor public settings,
regardless of vaccination status, but it is
strongly recommended that individuals
continue to wear one. Masks will continue to
be required in high risk settings. After March
11, 2022 masks will no longer be required in
K-12 schools and childcare settings.

Butte County Isolation and
Quarantine Guidance
Butte County Public Health has announced
that as of March 5, 2022 the local Health
Officer orders for COVID-19 isolation and
quarantine have been rescinded. Although
the local orders are no longer in place,
individuals will need to follow the California
Department of Public Health (CDPH)
guidance for isolation and quarantine
protocols. CDPH’s guidance for isolation and
quarantine is available on their website:

COVID-19 Home Test Kits
Free at-home COVID-19 tests are available to every household in
the U.S. and starting the week of March 7, 2022, every home in
the U.S. will be able to order an additional set of four tests for a
total of eight tests. Each household was previously limited to only
one order of four tests per address.
To order or for more information please visit
www.covidtests.gov. Tests may also be ordered by calling 1-
800-232-0233 (TTY 1-888-720-7489).

County residents regarding what they should do if
they have been exposed to someone who has
tested positive or who has symptoms of COVID-
19.
