Media Statement:
Butte County to Rescind Local Health Officer Orders for COVID-19
Isolation and Quarantine
As cases and hospitalizations of COVID-19 in Butte County have started to trend downward and the
State shifts away from some of the mitigation requirements, Butte County Public Health (BCPH) is
rescinding the local Health Officer orders for COVID-19 isolation and quarantine effective on March
5, 2022. These orders were originally issued on October 18, 2021 with an amendment on January 19,
2022. Rescinding the local isolation and quarantine orders means individuals need to follow the
California Department of Public Health (CDPH) guidance for isolation and quarantine protocols.
