Health Net worked with established community organizations including Health Begins, Community Organized Relief Effort (CORE), and Visión y Compromiso. Together, the organizations have worked with Health Net to identify and partner with other local organizations where Health Net’s expertise, analytics, and resources could make a meaningful difference and enable neighborhood advocates. In total, Health Net gave more than 80 grants to community-based organizations throughout the state. Among them, AltaMed Health Services (AltaMed) received $1.6 million in funding to support their community, broadcast, and digital outreach campaign to help thousands of Latinos in communities heavily impacted from the pandemic to make COVID-19 vaccine appointments.
