Grant Waiting List 3-14-22.pdf
Good Morning,
Earlier this week my department conducted the lottery drawing for the Non-Profit Stabilization
Grants. We received 54 qualified applications requesting $2,255,859.00. Of the 54 qualified
applicants we were able to grant $950,000 of grants to 23 local Non-Profits. Attached are two
documents. The Grant Awards document provides the list and dollar amounts to be awarded to the
local non-profits. The second document shows the waiting list and financial request of the
applicants who are not receiving a grant.
Please review the awardee list and let me know if you have a specific organization you wish to
personally deliver their award check to. We are still in the notification process of the awards so we
have a at least a week before I need to hear from you regarding a desire to present the award to
them.
I also wanted to draw some attention to the still unfunded (1.3M) very legitimate financial needs of
the unfunded requests. Initially when DESS submitted our request to provide this round of Non-
Profit Stabilization grants, we had requested $2 million in ARPA funds. I would like to respectfully
request that in the event any additional ARPA funds come available that the additional $1M we
initially requested be funded. Many of the proposals reach large numbers of elders and highly
vulnerable populations in our County. With an additional $1M we could meet nearly every request.
Thank you for supporting this very important grant program. I feel honored to carry out this
impactful work for our community on your behalf.
Sincerely,
Shelby Boston, MSW
