Why are you interested in serving?
I believe community involvement is essential. Our cemetery district is rich in history and needs board
members who will honor that history while practicing good stewardship of our resources.

I am currently a volunteer with our local food program, assisting in receiving & distributing food donations
locally. I am part of the Stirling City Quilers group, who, in addition to other projects throughout the year,
create and distribute quilts to our Veterans in town.

Served as a Volunteer in Police Service @ Paradise Police Dept. until 2019 I spend a great deal of time
serving on humanitarian projects throughout the community. I am an active member of my church
(Mormon) where we have a secondary focus on serving others. American Red Cross retired 2020
Disaster Relief.
Why are you interested in serving?
I have lived in Magalia since infancy. I have many members of my family buried in the Magalia Cemetery
and ultimately I will join them. Serving my community has been a driving force throughout my life. I have
been concerned by the dilemma the Kimshew Cemetery District is facing in a fiduciary way. I have made a
donation plus sent out 18 requests to my family, to join in and donate in the name of our various family
members.

Vina Groundwater Sustainability Agency (GSA) Stakeholder Advisory Committee (SHAC), Agriculture

Why are you interested in serving?
With my extensive background working on Butte County water issues and leading my family farm into the
21st century with irrigation efficiency improvements, integrative nitrogen & pest management practices
and working hand-in-hand with the NRCS's Conservation Security Program to protect endangered
species, I feel well-prepared to represent the interests of District 4 and our unique combination of natural
resources. I have worked extensively on the issues of groundwater-dependent farming, most recently in
support of the SGMA process through the Vina GSA and the development of our Groundwater
Sustainability Plan (GSP). The draft GSP includes several proposals for agricultural water conservation to
which I believe the RCD could be an essential partner with helping bring our groundwater resources back
to sustainable levels. Also, as a cabin-owner in the historic Jonesville community, I have a passion for the
protection and preservation of the forest lands in our county, particularly in light of the recent catastrophic
fires.

I have worked as the LEA for the solid waste program in Lassen County for many years, beginning in
1978. I have served, or am serving as Solid Waste Hearing Panel Technical Expert for Plumas, Lassen, &
Sierra Counties. I served on the CCDEH Solid Waste Policy Committee for several years. I am currently
doing the solid waste program for Lassen County on a part time basis.
