Board Members,
Today I met with the Sheriff to discuss the concept of the North County Public Safety Complex, and
he let me know that upon further reflection, he does not want to pursue a new building, that his
preference is to move into an existing building ASAP. He has spoken with General Services to
expedite this move.
This means that the concept behind Path A, to use all the funds for a single project, is no longer
viable. I’ll be bringing it up at Board meeting for discussion, but I just wanted to give you a heads up
now, since it is a fairly significant shift.
