This report presents off-the-air signal levels that have been recorded on the property per the requirements of California Fire Code 510, NFPA Annex O and Local BDA ordinances. The Data Collection process utilizes by RFSignalman provides an unbiased and accurate report by minimizing human error in data collection and analysis.RFSignalman utilizes qualified technicians to perform the service and have engineers available to review results with our customers. DATA COLLECTION General Building Data, Floor Plans and Pictures are controlled by the customer and incorporated into the report. The Building Coordinates (decimal degrees) and Elevation (feet) are measured at the front door utilizing a handheld GPS providing 3-30meter accuracy. RFSignalman utilizes an automated test platform to perform live signal level measurements. A precision omni antenna that is designed for the test frequencies is incorporated into the wearable device at 3-4ft above floor height to simulate a hip mounted radio. The automated test platform documents the Test Location, Time/Date, and Frequency and records the Signal Levels in dBm at 1 sec intervals over a 40sec period. The results for each live transmission are accurate to +/-2dB. The coded data files are uploaded and stored at www.RFSignalman.com for incorporation into the measurement report. Current and archived test reports (5 years) are available on-line. MEASUREMENTS Measurements are made at (4) locations around the perimeter of the building and on the roof to document outdoor signal levels. Indoor measurements are made in the critical locations specified by the Fire Code Inspector and in each of (20) grid/cells dividing the general building area on each floor. Cell No.1 is located in the NW corner of the Grid with the cell numbers progressing to the right. A "X" pattern is traveled within the Cell to assessgeneral coverage within the cell. Due to changes in environmental conditions such as temperature and humidity, the RF signals measured on the day of the test may not represent the RF signals on days of differing conditions. CALCULATIONS Mathematical calculations and industry accepted formulas are utilized to determine the distance to the closest Public Safety Transmitter Site and to calculate path, obstruction and building losses. The side of the building with the highest signal level is considered to have the best line of sight to the Transmitter Site and is utilized as the control point in determining path, obstruction and building losses. Peak readings are utilized in the calculations. When the report indicates that an Amplification System is installed, the Uplink values are calculated using a per channel EIRP level transmitted from the rooftop. Building loss calculations are removed from the report. The calculations assume adequate indoor coverage and gain of the installed system so that a consistent output power is provided. Amplification System test data is not detailed in this report. When the report indicates that Remote/Satellite Receiver is installed, the Uplink values are calculated using the distance to the receiver site and a corresonding percentage of the clutter loss calculated from the Public Safety Transmitter Site. 03/17/2022 www.RFSignalman.com Page : 3 LIMITED WARRANTY RFSignalman warrants that the services provided hereunder conform to the standards of care and practice appropriate to the nature of the services rendered, that the personnel furnishing said services shall be qualified and competent to perform the services assigned to them, and that the recommendations, guidance and performance of such personnel shall reflect their best professional knowledge and judgment.
