Take advantage of our dump day event Dump your general waste for free at the Black Butte Transfer Station on April 16! As part of the Clean California program, Caltrans is partnering with Siskiyou County Public Works to pay the dump fees for your general waste! Please Note: To help minimize traffic, we recommend that you use this opportunity to only bring items that qualify for the free dump day and plan a separate trip to bring any other items that need to be disposed of. Make sure to properly secure your load prior to transport. Not Free: Construction debris, appliances, green waste, tires, furniture. Black Butte Transfer Station is located at 3710 Springhill Road, Mount Shasta. Please contact the Clean California Public Information Officer at 530-225-3426 with any questions or visit https://mtshastaca.gov/resources/trash-pickup. NO HAZARDOUS WASTE. Hours of operation may vary due to volume of waste received. Make sure to properly secure your load prior to transport. Event is restricted to Siskiyou County residents and excludes business waste.
