Happy Thursday! We are almost done with the week. Here is this week’s Butte-
Glenn 2-1-1 newsletter, sharing information and resources to the communities in
Butte and Glenn Counties.
Upcoming Events
Survivor to Survivor Roadmap to Recovery Workshop - United Policyholders
Offering a webinar for all wildfire survivors where trained United Policyholders
volunteers with personal experience recovering from previous wildfires share tips to
help others on their road to recovery.
When: Tuesday, April 19, 2022 at 7pm

Welcome to Paradise Sign Dedication - Paradise Welcome Sign Rebuild
Committee
Holding an event to celebrate the completion of the new "Welcome to Paradise" on
Skyway. There will be refreshments and the entire community of Paradise is invited.
Out of concern for public safety, the event will take place at the Gold Nugget
Museum and not at the location of the sign on Skyway.
When: Thursday, April 21, 2022 from 2pm-4pm
Where: Gold Nugget Museum, 475 Pearson Road, Paradise
Musikgarten Workshop - Valley Oak Children’s Services
Providing a virtual workshop that will be hosted by Jill Lundberg of Music to Grow,
the Musikgarten school in Chico. Participants will learn music and movement
activities that benefit children in areas of learning, including musical, physical,
emotional, social, and cognitive growth. Butte County attendees will receive
Musikgarten materials for attending, while supplies last.
When: Thursday, April 21, 2022 from 6:30pm-7:30pm

May Day Camp - Camp Fire Restoration Project
Offering a two day event to celebrate Spring and participate in ecological
stewardship and restoration on the Ridge. Workshops and activities will be
scheduled throughout both days. There is an option for individuals to camp overnight
but they will be required to bring their own tent/sleeping accommodations, personal
items, & food. Registration is required. Individuals can register to attend one day or

COVID-19 Booster Vaccine Update
Butte-Glenn 2-1-1 is in partnership with United Way of Northern California- working
together to help strengthen and protect our communities in the North State. Below is
information on booster vaccines.
A second Pfizer and Moderna booster
dose is now available for people who
received their first booster dose at
least four months ago. For more
information on who is eligible for this
booster vaccine please visit the
California Department of Public
Health's website.

Pacific Gas and Electric Company: Address Alerts
Provides a phone call or a text message to notify
individuals if an address may be impacted by a planned
power shut off in order to prevent a wildfire. Individuals
may sign up to receive alerts for more than one address
and for any location that may be of importance other than
their home address such as their workplace, child’s
school, or the address of other family members.

Community Action Agency of Butte County, Inc.:
North State Food Bank
Distributes surplus food to individuals & families once a month in
various locations throughout five county areas.

Pacific Gas and Electric Company: Medical Baseline Program
The Medical Baseline Program is an assistance
program for residential customers who depend on
power for certain medical needs. This program
provides an additional monthly allotment of energy at a
lower rate and extra notifications in advance of a Public
Safety Power Shutoff outage.

Nation's Finest: Supportive Services for Veterans & their Families
Nation's Finest partners with low-income
veterans who are homeless or at risk of being
homeless and their families to help prevent
homelessness and assist with housing relocation
through case management. Eligible veterans
may receive assistance with rent, security
deposit, utility deposit, or utility payments. To
enroll in the program, veterans must complete a
screening to determine their eligibility in person
or by phone.
