The E-R article this week had an article about the hiking trail PG&E wants to not invest in—citing lack of demand from stakeholders. It was unclear where “stakeholders” voices could be heard. I hike miles every weekend. I am always pouring over the maps looking for trails within a reasonable drive from Chico, for these day hikes. I have never once heard of that trail. But, I absolutely would love to have it be available. My other “main” trail was destroyed in the four- month-long wildfires that wrecked much of the hiking along 36 between here and Mt Lassen. Much of the Lassen NP hiking trails were destroyed as well. If it is in your power to give voice to hikers—there are more than “just me”—please do what you can to ensure this hiking trail, all hiking trails, get funded and implemented by those who are responsible. Thank you very much. Kind regards, Kristi Ayars
