Date: April 29, 2022 District: 2 - Redding Contact: Chris Woodward Phone: (530) 225-3426 FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Rehabilitation Project Upcoming at Panoramic Point Facility on State Route 44 near Old Station (Shasta County) REDDING – The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans District 2) and Dunton Construction, Inc. are preparing to begin rehabilitation work at the Panoramic Point facility on State Route 44 in Shasta County, just west of Old Station. The $425k project will repave the facility’s parking lot and provide ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act) rehabilitation for curb, sidewalk, and path upgrades. The Panoramic Point is a Lassen National Forest facility that is maintained in part by Caltrans District 2. The facility will be fully closed during the project, which is currently anticipated to th begin on Thursday, May 5. Motorists are asked to plan their trips and stops accordingly. The facility is currently anticipated to reopen by early July, weather and operations pending. Construction projects are subject to changes without prior notice.
