Happy Friday! We are done with the week. Here is this week’s Butte-Glenn 2-1-1
newsletter, sharing information and resources to the communities in Butte and Glenn
Counties.
Upcoming Events
Bidwell Wildlife Rehabilitation Baby Shower - Bidwell Wildlife Rehabilitation
The Bidwell Wildlife Rehabilitation is holding a fundraising event to support wildlife
babies in need of care during the spring and summer months. There will be live
animal shows, face painting, educational booths sharing information about various
local wildlife with free kid's activities and takeaways, a concession stand and food
truck, and craft vendors.
When: Saturday, April 30, 2022 from 12pm-3pm
Where: The Barn at Meriam Park, 1930 Market Place, Chico
Community Information Meeting: In-Person Housing Resource Fair - Town of
Paradise
Providing a meeting for Paradise residents for focused on housing and rebuilding in
Paradise. After a short presentation, residents will be invited to tour resource booths
covering a variety of topics such as contractors, insurance, grants, and other
rebuilding topics.
When: Tuesday, May 3, 2022 from 6pm-8pm
Where: Paradise Alliance Church, 6491 Clark Rd, Paradise

COVID-19 Booster Vaccine Update
Butte-Glenn 2-1-1 is in partnership with United Way of Northern California- working
together to help strengthen and protect our communities in the North State. Below is
information on vaccine requirements in schools.

Requirements in Schools
The California Department of Public Health
(CDPH) announced that the student vaccine
mandate will be delayed until, no sooner than
July 1, 2023. This announcement comes as
the FDA has not yet fully approved the
COVID-19 vaccine for ages within the 7-12

City of Orland Recreation Department
Orland City Pool
The Orland City Pool will be open for public swimming and lap swimming this
summer on June 4, 2022.
Admission Fees:
Aqua Aerobic and Lap Swim: $2
Daily Swim $3
Season passes:
Individual Pass: $75
Family Pass: $150

Hours:
Available starting June 4, 2022 with the following hours.

Monday-Saturday: 1pm - 5pm and Tuesday & Thursday: 7:30pm - 9pm

The City of Orland Recreation Department also offers swimming lessons during the

Splash Pad
The outdoor splash pad provides water for public recreational use and relief from the
heat.
Hours:
Available starting April 30, 2022 with the following hours.
Monday-Friday: 1pm - 7pm
Saturday-Sunday: 11:30am - 7pm
Durham Recreation and Park District
Dwight Brinson Swim Center
The Dwight Brinson Swim Center will be open for public swim to individuals and
families this summer on June 3, 2022.
Admission Fees:
General Admission: $4
Punch Passes:
10 Punches for $40
20 Punches for $70
30 Punches for $97.50
50 Punches for $150

Chico Area Recreation and Park District
Pleasant Valley Pool
The Chico Area Recreation and Park District offers public swim hours at
Pleasant Valley Pool to individuals and families. The Pleasant Valley Pool opens on
June 6, 2022.
Admission Fees:
General Admission: $3
Seniors: $2
Kids under 2 years: No fee
Summer Swim Pass:
Family Pass (6 people) - $100
Individual Punch Passes - $12 for 5 visits
Hours:
Available starting June 6, 2022 with the following hours.
June 6, 2022 - August 13, 2022 (Closed to public on Sundays).
Pool will be closed June 20, 2022 and July 4, 2022.
Recreational Swim: Monday - Friday: 12:45pm - 3:45pm & Saturday: 1pm -
4pm.
Family Swim: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday: 7pm - 8:30pm
Swim Lessons
The Chico Area Recreation and Park District is offering many different swimming
lessons at Pleasant Valley Pool throughout the summer starting on June 6, 2022 to
July 28, 2022. Swimming lessons are roughly 30 minutes long, ages and lessons
vary. Spots are limited. See the Chico Area Recreation and Park District website for

Feather River Recreation and Park District
Palermo Pool
The Feather River Recreation and Park District offers public swim at Palermo
Pool to individuals and families. The Palermo Pool opens on June 13, 2022.
Admission Fees:
Palermo Pool public swim: $3
Hours:
Available starting June 13, 2022 with the following hours.
Monday - Saturday: 1pm - 4pm. Closed on Sundays.
Nelson Pool
The Feather River Recreation and Park District offers public swim at Nelson Pool to
individuals and families. The opening date for the Nelson Pool is TBD..
Admission Fees:
TBD, currently closed due to construction.

Swim Lessons
The Feather River Recreation and Park District is offering swimming lessons at
Palermo Pool and at Nelson Pool in the summer starting on June 13, 2022 - August
04, 2022. Swimming lessons are roughly 30 minutes long, ages and lessons vary.

Paradise Recreation and Park District
Paradise Pool
The Paradise Recreation and Park District is offers public swim hours for individuals

Swim Pass (20 visits): $60
