Please exercise judgment before opening .. attachments, clicking on links, or replying. Clerk, please distribute to the Supervisors and place in public record. -------- Butte County Health Officer Dr. David Canton, Please respond with your view on this new study. I would like to ask that this important information be included at your vaccine clinics and/or on the Butte County Public Health Department website. If you are truly concerned with informed consent, you are obligated to provide the most current risk information as it is published. This latest issue related to the COVID vaccine and severe hepatitis among children is disturbing. Just like the myocarditis information was last year that was finally added to the vaccine literature, and resulted in fewer parents electing to vaccinate their child. How long are you going to wait before putting the hepatitis risks on your website? Our community, our parents in particular, need and deserve to have everything YOU KNOW to make the best risk vs benefit decision for their children. AND BEFORE they sit them down in a vaccination chair to push an experimental product into their child they will never be able to take back. If you won’t make this information available, please confirm how the staff at the vaccination clinics respond when a parent asks about the latest adverse effects. If they ask about hepatitis risks or miscarriages how are staff coached to respond? Are they given talking points or training? Or are they left to their own personal knowledge and beliefs. Please be fully transparent with our community and provide all of the information on both sides of the risk and reward equation. Or at a minimum clarify the Butte County Public Health Department’s definition of "safe". Respectfully, Julie Threet
