Good afternoon Board - good news!
If you recall – we submitted two project requests to Senators Feinstein and Padilla (Cohasset Road
widening and the Palermo clean drinking water project), and two projects to Congressman LaMalfa
(Cohasset Road widening and the countywide vegetation/brush removal project).
We received good news today. The Congressman has selected the Cohasset Road widening project
as one of his 15 supported projects – recommending $1.4 million be provide for the project. While
the project hasn’t officially been approved – it is moving forward in the process. I have been told the
Congressman will be pushing out a press release early next week – and I will keep you all informed as
this project moves through the vetting process.
