Happy Friday! We are done with the week. Here is this week’s Butte-Glenn 2-1-1
newsletter, sharing information and resources to the communities in Butte and Glenn
Counties.
Upcoming Events
(Event 05/05-09/22) Thursday Night Farmers Market
Offering a seasonal farmers market and street festival in downtown Chico on
Thursday evenings. There will be farm-fresh produce, food, artisans, live
entertainment, and special children's activities.
When: Thursdays from 6pm-9pm starting May 5, 2022 - September 22, 2022
Where: Downtown Chico, Broadway From 2nd To 4th Streets, Chico
(Event 06/09) Maternal Mental Health 101 - Postpartum Support International
Offering a webinar where attendees will learn about the various Maternal Mental
Health Disorders, the differences between them, risk factors and treatment options.
The course is designed for providers, administrators and public health employees,
though all are welcome. Continuing education units (CEU) and Continuing medical
education credits (CME) are not available for this event. Registration is required.
When: Thursday, June 9, 2022 from 10:30am-12pm

(Event 06/04) Fun in the Sun Day - Wildfire Resource & Recovery Center
Providing a community event that will include a yard sale, artistisan fair, barbeque,
live music, information from community resources, and activities for children.
Proceeds from the yard sale will go towards a tiny home for a Bear Fire survivor.
When: Saturday, June 4, 2022 from 8am-2pm
Where: Chico Elks Lodge, 1705 Manzanita Avenue, Chico
(Event 06/07) Survivor to Survivor Roadmap to Recovery Workshop - United
Policyholders
Offering a webinar for all wildfire survivors where trained United Policyholders
volunteers with personal experience recovering from previous wildfires share tips to
help others on their road to recovery. Registration is required.
When: Tuesday, June 7, 2022 at 7pm

together to help strengthen and protect our communities in the North State.

Provides alerts by email when there are new updates
regarding public health mandates and orders from the
California State Public Health officer related to COVID-19.

Resource Highlights
Chico Meals on Wheels: Chico Meals on
Wheels (Chico Area Council on Aging, Inc.)
Provides the elderly and other homebound
individuals with nutritious, balanced meals delivered
to their homes. Meals cost $6 per meal and billed to
the client at the end of the month. Food is delivered
hot and ready to eat. For more information or to sign
up, please call (530)343-9147.
Please Note: Chico and Durham are served 7 days a
week including holidays from 10am to 2pm. Magalia
and Paradise are served Monday, Wednesday, and Fridays, including holidays,
between 10am-2pm.
Hope Commons Church: Food Closet
Offering bags of groceries containing nonperishable
pantry food items. Bags may also contain fruit,
vegetables, and meat when available. One bag of
groceries will be handed out per person.
Hours: Mondays at 5pm-5:30pm
Location: Hope Commons Church, 1184 East
Avenue, Chico
Orland Pantry
Offers emergency food to those with limited financial
resources, 12 times per calendar year. Available to
residents of Artois, Capay, Hamilton City, Orland,
Ord Bend.
When picking up a food box, please bring proof of
residency and photo ID in Orland, Capay, Artois or
Hamilton City. Each box will contain three meals for
two days for each family member.
Proof of residency and photo ID is required, but exceptions can be made for
individuals experiencing homelessness.
Hours: Monday from 10am-12pm & Wednesday from 3pm-5pm.
