Board Members,
We have had a severe COVID outbreak at the Public Works and Development Services. Over half of
the office staff at PW has tested positive and over a quarter of Development Services staff also
testing positive.
On the PW side the office has been closed to the public. There are signs on the door directing the
public to alternate contact methods.
On the DDS side the counter remains open, and the office is running with a skeleton crew.
To the extent that COVID positive employees are able to work from home, they are doing so.
There are other departments that are reporting an increase in COVID cases, but none as high as
these two departments. I have requested Department Heads to increase their COVID mitigations to
ensure continuity of services.
