Please exercise judgment before opening attachments, clicking on links, or replying.. Dear Butte County Board of Supervisors, As a 2018 Camp Fire survivor and a member of the the Fire Victims Trust (FVT), I want to thank you for sending Judge Trotter of the FVT the letter requesting answers to many of the same questions fire victims have been asking since the creation of the FVT. Obviously, you hit a nerve (of truth) to Judge Trotter about the FVT operations, otherwise, Judge Trotter would not have been so defensive with his response and his refusal to answer your questions. Seeing the response and lack of cooperation by Judge Trotter, I now hope that our CA congressmen, senators and Governor Newsom will join your Board and ask these same questions and DEMAND answers and payouts for the victims and NOT at just 45% of our FVT calculated losses (known as a determinations), but at 100%!! By the way, I am sure you know, but just in case, many, many fire victims, such as my family and my daughter and son-in-law had to move out of Butte County to other counties and other states because we could not continue to wait for decisions to be made by the FVT. It’s truly a shame because Butte county was our home and we loved it. So you will know, my husband and I owned our previous home at 13982 Dobbs Ct., Magalia, CA 95954 and we carried homeowner’s insurance. And, in case you are wondering, we just recently received a ridiculously low determination offer from the FVT. In fact, it was so low that our attorney recommended it for reconsideration and once again, the wait continues. Thank you for trying to help fire victims understand what has been going on with the FVT. Please do not give up.
