Here is this week’s Butte-Glenn 2-1-1 newsletter, sharing information and resources to the communities in Butte and Glenn Counties. Upcoming Events Paradise Grazing Festival - Butte County Fire Safe Council and Paradise Parks and Recreation District Holding a community event that will include live music, food, vendors, and information about wildfire preparedness, fuel reduction programs, reforestation efforts, biomass facilities, and grazing on the Ridge. There will also be opportunities to mingle with the goats and have your picture taken with them. Survivor to Survivor Roadmap to Recovery Workshop - United Policyholders Offering a webinar for all wildfire survivors where trained United Policyholders volunteers with personal experience recovering from previous wildfires share tips to help others on their road to recovery. Wildfire-Prepared Resilient Rebuilding - United Policyholders Offering a webinar for survivors of wildfires in California in 2020 and 2021 that will help them plan for and understand how to build a resilient home by adopting mitigation standards into your rebuild. COVID-19 Home Test Kits Butte-Glenn 2-1-1 is in partnership with United Way of Northern California- working together to help strengthen and protect our communities in the North State. Below is information on COVID-19 Home test kits. COVID-19 Home Test Kits Every home in the U.S. is now eligible to order a 3rd round of 8 additional free at-home, rapid COVID-19 tests. Every home in the U.S. will be able to order an additional 2 sets of four tests for a total of 8 tests. Each household was previously limited to only two orders of four tests per address. To order or for more information please visit www.covidtests.gov. Tests may also be ordered by calling 1-800-232-0233 (TTY 1-888-720-7489). Resource Highlights Aegis Medical Systems - Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) Provides outpatient treatment for substance use disorders through suboxone and methadone treatment. Individual and group counseling over the phone, as well as case management services are also provided. Services are available by appointment or walk in. Support includes brief interventions from trained counselors, referrals to support groups, and community-based resources.
