Hello all – Correction to the below press release.
Second booster doses are NOT available for the J&J vaccine. J&J recipients may get a second booster of the
Pfizer or Moderna vaccine, four months after receiving their first booster.

Chico Community COVID-19 Vaccination Clinic Closing
Vaccines available for everyone 6 months and older
BUTTE COUNTY, Calif. – COVID-19 vaccines are widely available throughout Butte County at most pharmacies
and health clinics. Due to an increase in access to the vaccine, the Chico Community Clinic, located at 560
Cohasset Road, will permanently close on June 30 at 5 pm. The clinic opened in May 2021, during a time when
access to the vaccine was limited.
As of Monday, June 27, 56.7% of Butte County residents have been fully vaccinated and 5.73% have received at
least one dose of the vaccine. 37.6% of residents remain unvaccinated. Additional information about COVID-19

Vaccine Eligibility: Everyone 6 months+
Everyone 6 months of age and older can now get a COVID-19 vaccine.
The Pfizer vaccine has full FDA approval for people aged 16 and older and emergency use authorization
for people aged 6 months to 15 years old. Booster doses are available for everyone 5 and older, five
months after receiving the first two doses.
The Moderna vaccine has full FDA approval for people aged 18 and older, and emergency use
authorization for people aged 6 months to 17 years old. Booster doses are available for everyone 18 and
older, five months after receiving the first two doses.
The J&J vaccine has emergency use authorization for everyone 18 and older. Booster doses are available
two months after received the first dose.
Second booster doses are available for all three vaccines, 4 months after receiving the first booster:
Pfizer and Moderna second boosters are available for everyone 50 and older and those 12 and
older who are immunocompromised.
J&J second boosters are for everyone 18 and older.

NEW: Public Health Clinic, COVID-19 Vaccinations – Opening Week of July 11 | 6 months+
Starting the week of July 11, the Public Health clinic will offer a COVID-19 vaccination clinic two days a week.
Book your appointment at: myturn.ca.gov. Appointments are strongly recommended, walk-ins may be accepted
if space allows.
