HomeMy WebLinkAbout22-077WHEREAS, on June 23, 2020, the Board of Supervisors adopted a Resolution dosingcounty'maintained portions ofHumboldt Road tovehicle traffic between the Chico city limits and Highway 38;and WHEREAS, the County ofButte desires to continue to improve health and safety issues om Humboldt Road between Stilson Canyon Road and State Highway 32 due to illegal activity along this portion of road; and WHEREAS, California Vehicle Code section 21101.4 aUmvvs the temporary closure of road by resolution of the Board ofSupervisors where the road isnot needed for vehicular traffic, and WHEREAS, the County of Butte has determined that the property owners emergency responders served by Humboldt Road continue tohave access through locked gates tnuse Humboldt Road; and WHEREAS, the temporary closure of Humboldt Road will not substantially affect traffic fhmvv safety on the adjacent streets or in the surrounding neighborhoods, the operations of emergency vehicles and performance of municipal and public utility services, and the delivery of freight by commercial vehicles in the area proposed to be temporarily closed; and WHEREAS, the road closure is exempt from CEQA pursuant to CEQA Guidelines section 15301(c); and WHEREAS, notice of the proposed temporary road closure and of the time and place of the hearing on the proposed closure has been given in the manner and at the time required by Vehicle Code 21101.4(c) and, as been served bymail onthe owner ofeach property adjoining the street proposed for temporary closure.
