Good Afternoon,
I’d like to piggyback on Director Jimerfield’s Drought Report this afternoon and update you on the
Drought Impact Analysis Study recommendations. The Drought Task Force (DTF) and the Water
thth
Commission (WC) will be meeting on June 30 and July 6 respectively, to discuss potential
recommendations for various drought response actions. It is anticipated that the results of those
th
discussions will be presented to you at your July 26meeting. It was originally anticipated that
recommendations would be presented this month; however the timing was off due to the release of
the final document and webinar schedule, and DTF and WC meeting dates.
In addition, the Department anticipates providing a Water Update at your next meeting, and
Director Jimerfield and I will prepare a more comprehensive Drought Situation Status (SitStat)
Report.
