HomeMy WebLinkAbout7.1.22 RE_ EOC Open From:Pickett, Andy To:BOS Subject:RE: EOC Open Date:Thursday, June 30, 2022 7:51:06 PM Final update: CAL FIRE has gotten the upper hand on the fire. All evac zones are lifted save one. Individuals who initially went to the shelter have left. We have a number of animals, we are contacting their owners so they can pick them up. The shelter has no one there now, and as long as the order exists for the one zone we will keep it open. We anticipate the order will be lifted soon, and we’ll close the shelter at that point (assuming the census is still 0). The EOC will transition to virtual until it is closed when all services are demobilized. This will be my final update unless something changes. We have opened a shelter at the Church of the Nazarene in Oroville, and have an animal shelter at our Del Oro location. We have opened up the EOC and are in the process of getting organized. I’ll report back when we know more. Andy Máximo A. Pickett Chief Administrative Officer County of Butte 25 County Center Drive, Suite 200, Oroville, CA 95965
