Dear Boards of Supervisors:
On July 19, 2022, North Yuba Water District filed a Petition for Change Involving Water Transfer
(Petition) with the State Water Resources Control Board. Water Code section 1726(c) requires a
petitioner to provide a copy of the petition to the board of supervisors of the county or counties in
which the petitioner currently stores or uses the water subject to the petition, and the board of

Re: North Yuba Water District; License 11518
Dear Ms. Fernandez:
On behalf of North Yuba Water District, I have enclosed a Petition for Change
Involving Water Transfer and related documents. North Yuba Water District is petitioning to
temporarily add points of re-diversion and places of use to License 11518 in order to transfer
up to a total of 15,000 acre-feet by reservoir storage releases. North Yuba Water District’s
proposed water transfer is consistent with the requirements in Water Code section 1725 et seq.
for temporary water transfers. As a temporary transfer, North Yuba Water District’s petition
qualifies for the exemption from the California Environmental Quality Act pursuant to Water
Code sections 1728-1729. Time is of the essence to process this petition, and North Yuba
appreciates your prompt attention to this matter.
Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions.
Regards,
Aaron Ferguson
