“3CORE supports the Broadband MOU between Butte County and the City of Chico. Broadband is
identified in the 2022-2027 Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy (CEDS) under
“Transformative Initiatives.” The CEDS is a plan for regional recovery in Butte, Glenn, and Tehama
counties. It provides guidance to regional leaders across industry, government, nonprofits, and
educational institutions in framing actions that have strategic economic value for the region. The
following broadband-related action aligned with this MOU is listed in the CEDS: “Supporting efforts
related to the adoption of local policies that facilitate broadband deployment.”
