BUTTE COUNTY TO HOST JOB FAIRS IN CHICO AND OROVILLE, MULTIPLE POSITIONS AVAILABLE
Butte County, Ca --Butte County Government, one of the largest employers in Butte County, has partnered with
Alliance for Workforce Development, to host job fairs in Chico and Oroville. Multiple positions are available,
including positions in law enforcement, code enforcement, public health, social services, building, planning, election
support, human resources, and more. Positions are full-time, part-time, and seasonal, and benefits may include
medical, dental, and retirement.
Butte County Chief Administrative Officer, Andy Pickett says, “It’s a really exciting time to join the Butte County
team. County Government offers positions in almost every field. We employ physicians, librarians, law enforcement
personnel, planners, attorneys, fire professionals, you name it. It’s a great place to start a career, too, because there
are so many opportunities for advancement.”
Butte County staff from nearly every department will be at the job fairs to talk about open positions and answer
questions. Job seekers are invited to bring their resumes. Computers with Wi-Fi capability will be available for those
interested in filling out applications. Alliance for Workforce Development staff will also be available to assist job
seekers with their applications.
“It’s not often that Butte County hosts job fairs. We are looking forward to the opportunity to talk to those
interested in law enforcement careers, now is a great time to join Butte County Sheriff’s Office,” said Sheriff Kory
Honea.
