Good evening Board Members
State HCD informed the County we will receive $72 million for infrastructure projects, which
is granted by CDBG-DR funds that came from HUD after the Camp Fire.
The Statewide allocation was $317 million and HCD received requests totaling $1.3 billion.
Sherisse worked with Departments to develop applications totaling nearly $170 million for
Butte County.
We understand the Town of Paradise received the largest allocation, but the County received
the greatest percentage of its request.
HCD asked the County to keep this allocation internal and not make public announcements
prior to August 19th. We understand Congressman LaMalfa's Office may be working on a
press announcement and I will work with the Chair on this as it develops.
Staff is working on bringing and agenda item to the Board so you can prioritize the submitted
projects for the allocation since there isn't enough funding for all projects. We anticipate this
will come before the Board in September.
