Status Update and Plan and Schedule for Further Actions to Address R-6 ENCLOSURE 1 Enclosure 1 Bucks Creek Hydroelectric Project, FERC No. 619-CA Bucks Storage Dam, NATDAM No. CA00332 Status Update and Plan and Schedule for Further Actions to Address Recommendation 6 from the 11th 5-Year Part 12D Safety Inspection Report Recommendation (R-6) was provided in the 11th 5-year Part 12D safety inspection report for Bucks Storage Dam, which is part of Pacific Gas an (PG&E) Bucks Creek Hydroelectric Project, Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) No. 619. For reference, R-6 is copied below, and plan and schedule for further actions to address the recommendation. R-6: The IC recommends that PG&E capture and re-direct the flows from the access road culvert located above the left wall of the spillway near Station 2+54 to mitigate the potential for erosion, saturation of the materials behind the wall, and further cracking and deterioration of the wall. See Section 3.2.9 and PFM 7. PG&E conducted a video inspection of the road culvert located above the left spillway training wall at Bucks Storage Dam in 2022 to verify visual observations made in 2021. Based on the results of the video inspection, PG&E confirmed that the inlet of the culvert is completely plugged with sediment, as shown in Photo 1 below. No other sources of potential inflow into the culvert were observed during the video inspection. PG&E is coordinating with other agencies to determine ownership of the culvert and will collectively evaluate the need to restore the inlet to the culvert. By April 30, 2023, PG&E will provide the results of the inlet restoration determination and a plan and schedule for inlet repairs, if necessary, and potential modifications to the discharge end of the culvert to redirect flows off the slope above the left side of the spillway, to address R-6. 1 Enclosure 1 Photo 1: Sediment accumulation at inlet of road culvert 2
