Mr. Zarate
Ausmus Engineering has completed the final special inspection for the emergency fire
escape for the subject building as has found it in compliance with the conditions required
in the report entitled, "Structural Evaluation for Emergency Fire Escape" dated
11/18/2020.
We recommend subsequent inspections every other 3-year code cycle, with particular
focus on the protection of the metal by paint and primer on southerly face of the building
where the escape apparatus is exposed extreme weather and temperatures.
We also recommend that during the next structural evaluation that the ledger bolts be
removed and replaced with new stainless steel expansion anchors. This applies to the four
lower platforms on the southern face as shown on pages 5 and 6.
