Re: Bucks Creek Hydroelectric Project, FERC No. 619-CA
Extension of Time Request: License Articles 203, 204, and 205 and Filing of
Revised Exhibits A, F, and G and Statement of Federal Lands
Dear Secretary Bose:
Pacific Gas and Electric Company (PG&E) and the City of Santa Clara (collectively with
PG&E, the Licensees) are co-owners of the Bucks Creek Hydroelectric Project No. 619
(Project). As described below, Licensees request an extension of time with respect to the
time periods set forth in Articles 203, 204, and 205 of the new Project License to align with
conflicting deadlines set forth in an order approving a non-capacity amendment for the
Project.
On April 22, 2021, the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) issued an order
approving a non-capacity amendment (Amendment Order) of the Project to support the
reconnection of the Grizzly powerhouse to the grid following damage to a primary line from
the Camp Fire. Ordering Paragraph (C) of the Amendment Order provides as follows
(emphasis added):
Within 90 days of completion of the modifications of the facilities authorized
by this order, or within 90 days of issuance date of the new license currently
pending with the Commission under sub docket 164 for the project,
whichever is later, the Licensees must file for Commission approval, revised
Exhibits A, L and G, as applicable, to describe and show the project facilities
as-built. The Licensees must review the project description and the entire
Exhibit A to ensure it is accurate and consistent with the amendment
approved by this order.
On June 16, 2022, FERC issued a new License to Licensees for the Project. Articles 203,
204 and 205 of the License require Licensees to file revised Exhibit A, F and G drawings
and a Statement of Federal Lands within 90 days of the issuance date of the license.
Modifications related to the reconnection of the Grizzly powerhouse to the grid have not

been completed and therefore as-built versions of Exhibits A, F, and G will not be prepared
for these facilities and areas until this construction is completed.
Accordingly, Licensees request an extension of time to October 31, 2023 to submit
Exhibits A, F, and G and the Statement of Federal Lands to align with Ordering Paragraph
(C) of the Amendment Order, which requires these drawings and information to be
submitted within 90 days of the completion of construction. Licensees expect the October
31, 2023 date to be sufficient time after completion of the Grizzly modifications to
incorporate as-built conditions. If construction delays are encountered, licensees will seek
another extension of time.
For general questions, please contact PG&E’s Senior Relicensing Project Manager, Tony
Gigliotti at (925) 357-7120 or PG&E’s Senior License Coordinator, Jamie Visinoni, at (530)
215-6676.
Sincerely,
Elisabeth Rossi
