Subject: Campground for the homeless
To those in the seat of power:
A couple of years ago I filled out a questionnaire about the needs of the homeless population.
I advocated then as now for a campground.
There are those that for many reasons will not find a shelter like the Pallet Shelters
accommodating.
Therefore there needs to be a managed campground.
Otherwise they just set up their tents all over the city of Chico and into our neighborhoods and
parks.
A managed campground would offer more safety and hopefully services as well.
This is a crisis that is not adequately being dealt with.
A managed campground would be a good start!
