Progress Report
Dear Secretary Bose,
STS Hydropower, LLC (STS), an indirect subsidiary of Eagle Creek Renewable Energy, LLC, is
filing this progress report on the Kanaka Hydroelectric Project, FERC No. 7242 (Project) license
surrender. On April 4, 2022, STS provided the draft Surrender Application to the California
Department of Fish and Wildlife (CDFW), California State Water Resources Control Board
(SWRCB), and the United States Forest Service for 30-day review.
Comments were received from the CDFW and SWRCB. STS Hydro is reviewing agency
comments, gathering additional information, and planning an agency site visit. STS will address
agency comments and incorporate relevant additional information into the final Surrender
Application. At this time, STS intends to file the Surrender Application with FERC no later than
September 30, 2022.
