The Grand Jury Final Report may be accessed online. The Chief Administrative Officer, County Clerk-Recorder, the Librarian and the Directors of Behavioral Health, General Services, Information Systems, and Public Works have been named as respondents in the final report. See the attached memo with details. The Board of Supervisors is also required to respond and County Administration will coordinate a response for the Board’s Consideration at a Board Meeting in September. Those details are also included in the attached memo. Thank you. The Grand Jury Final Report may be accessed at: https://www.butte.courts.ca.gov/sites/default/files/butte/default/2022-06/2021- 2022_Grand_Jury_Final_Report.pdf You have been named as a respondent in the Final Report and you must submit a response directly to the Presiding Judge. Prior to doing so, we ask that that you submit a draft copy of your response to the Administrative Office. This will ensure better coordination and consistency with the responses. The Board of Supervisors is required to submit an Agency Response. The Administration Department will prepare a draft response and submit to the Board for review and approval. The following pages contain specific instructions for appointed and elected department heads, as well as the Board of Supervisors agency response. Prior to doing so, please submit a draft copy of your response to your liaison at the County Administration Department by the date listed below. This will ensure better coordination and consistency with the responses. RESPONSE For each "Finding" the response must be one of the following: 1. The respondent agrees with the finding. 2. The respondent disagrees wholly or partially with the finding, in which case the response must explain the reason(s). For each "Recommendation" the response must be one of the following: 1. The recommendation has been implemented, with a summary of the implemented action; or 2. The recommendation has not yet been implemented, but will be implemented in the future, with a timeframe for implementation; or 3. The recommendation requires further analysis, with an explanation of the scope, parameters, and timeframe of the analysis. The timeframe cannot exceed six months from the date of publication of the Grand Jury report; or 4. The recommendation will not be implemented because it is not warranted or is not reasonable, with an explanation. RESPONSE Staff from the County Administration Department will prepare a draft response and submit to the Board for consideration according to the timeline below. Staff will also submit the approved response to the Presiding Judge on behalf of the Board. For each "Finding" the response must be one of the following: 1. The respondent agrees with the finding. 2.
