Re: Piezometer Access Stairs Installation at Philbrook Dam
Dear Mr. Nimick:
This is in response to a letter dated April 11, 2022 from Mr. Robert Ellis that
submitted information regarding install piezometer access stairs on the
downstream face of Philbrook Dam, which is part of the DeSabla-Centerville Project,
FERC No. 803.
We have reviewed your submittal and have the following comments:
1. The submittal is appropriate for the scope of work proposed for this project
and we have no comment on the general scope of the work.
2. Although a full QCIP is not required, submit a brief explanation of what
efforts PG&E will take to observe the work is done appropriately without
causing harm to the embankment. Provide the name and resume of the
person overseeing the work for PG&E.
Provided that you address comment 2 within 10 days of the date of this letter, and
obtain all necessary federal, state, and local permits, PG&E is authorized to proceed with
this project.

Within 90 days following the completion of construction, or no later than October
1, 2022, please submit a brief final construction report with photographs and as-built
drawings, as appropriate, documenting the installation of the access stairs. File your
https://www.ferc.gov/ferc-
online/overview. For all Dam Safety and Public Safety Documents, select Hydro:
Regional Office and San Francisco Regional Office from the eFiling menu. The cover
page of the filing must indicate that the material was eFiled. For assistance with eFiling,
