HomeMy WebLinkAbout22-108RESOLUTION TO APPROVE BUTTE COUNTY CHILDREN'S SERVICES SYSTEM IMPROVEMENT PLAN AND SERVICE
PROVISION FOR THE CHILD ABUSE PREVENTION, INTERVENTION AND TREATMENT (CAPIT), COMMUNITY-BASED
CHILD ABUSE PREVENTION (CBCAP), AND PROMOTING SAFE AND STABLE FAMILIES (PSSF) PROGRAMS
WHEREAS, county child welfare and juvenile probation departments are required to complete a Children's
Services System Improvement Plan every five years, as part of the California Child and Family Services Review; and;
WHEREAS, California Welfare and Institutions Code section 16602(b) requires that the local Welfare Department
shall administer the PSS,F program; and
WHEREAS, on February 23, 19919, the Butte County Board of Supervisors designated the Butte County Department
of Employment and Social Services as the public agency to apply for funding from the Office of Child Abuse Prevention
and administer the CAPIT and CBCAP programs; and
WHEREAS, the County assures that funds for CAPIT/CBCAP/PSSF programs will be used as outlined in State and
federal statute; and
WHEREAS, to minimize duplicative processes, maximize, resources and increase partnerships, the California
Department of Sociall Services integrated the CAPIT/CBCAP/PSSF Service Provision Plan into the California Children and
Families Services Review five year cycle in each county; and
WHEREAS, the Butte County Department of Employment and Social Services and the Butte County Probation
Department have completed the integrated System Improvement Plan and the CAPIT/CBCAP/PSSF Service Provision Plan
for the period December 15, 2020 through December 14, 2025; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Butte County Board of Supervisors hereby approves the integrated
Children's Services System Improvement Plan and the CAPIT/CBCAP/PSSF Service Provision and approves submitting the
plan to the California Department of Social Services.
