The highway is currently planned to reopen to traffic (under 24/7 one-way traffic control) by Tuesday, September 13th at 7 a.m. Access is allowed from either side of the closure, but not to cross the location at Opapee Creek. There is no designated detour for this closure. Motorists are advised to check QuickMap for 24/7 updated highway information, including areas of road work and alternative routes. If traveling in a large vehicle, please check this website for highway restriction information. Please note that delays may increase on alternate routes due to road work and increased traffic volumes due to the SR 70 closure.
