Board Members,
As you know, Behavioral Health currently has staffing challenges, which is manifesting in different
ways. The PHF needs to maintain staff/client ratios, and we currently capped at 10 beds (out of 16)
for this reason. Scott has advised me that they are currently one staff absence away from needing
to close the PHF (due to required ratios). If that happens, clients would be sent out of county, and
inpatient staff would be reassigned to alternative sites.
We continue to work with HR on staffing issues, including an ongoing dialogue of the impact of the
class/comp implementation on staffing.
We’ll keep you updated.
