Butte County Fire Department County of Butte, State of California
WHEREAS, the Grant provides for Wildland Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to replace old and worn out PPE,
Safety Helmets, gloves, and hoods for Volunteer Firefighters; and
WHEREAS, to qualify for the grant the Chairperson of the Board of Supervisors is required to sign and execute said
Resolution on behalf of the Butte County Fire Department; and
WHEREAS, the Grant requires the person signing the Resolution to authorize the County Administrative Officer to
sign the Agreement; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Butte County Board of Supervisors hereby approve the Agreement
with the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection dated as of the last signatory date on page 13 of the
agreement, and any amendments thereto, This Agreement provides for an award, during the term of this agreement,
under the Volunteer Fire Assistance Program of the Cooperative Fire Assistance Act of 1978 during State Fiscal Year 2022-
23 up to and' no more than the amount of $2,0,000.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Butte County Board of Supervisors this 1111 day of October, 2022, by the following
vote:
AYES: Supervisors Lucero, Ritter, Kimmelshue, Teeter and Chair Connelly
NOES: None
