Internal Memo RE: Old Durham Wood Status of ADM20-0050 and Landscaping Condition #17
I conducted a site inspection at the west side Old Durham Wood Facility at APN: 040-120-
033 on Tuesday, January 17th 2023.
The area previously utilized as the log deck storage area, which contained 5,000-10,000
soft wood logs from the Camp Fire Debris area, has been cleared.
This image depicts a portion of area of the total Camp Fire Log Deck storage area, which
has been cleared of soft wood timber, and is now being utilized for normal ODW business
operations.
My site visit confirms compliance with conditions 14. (per 24-245 – Performance
Guarantee, for ten acres at $2,000 per acre totaling $20,000) and 15. a. and b. regarding
the reclamation of the site. I have attached the approved ADM permit for your reference.
It is my recommendation that the Performance Guarantee (Site Reclamation Bond in the
amount of $20,000 – receipt P6829) be returned to Old Durham Wood.
Email sent to Planning Manager DB and Fiscal Manager KC on January 26, 2023 with
notification of the above to request the refund of the Financial Guarantee.
RE: Landscaping Condition #17:
Per conversation with ODW site manager Tim Merrill, I was informed that landscaping
would occur before spring along the section of the ODW facility adjacent to Oro Chico
Highway, which will include sycamores within the biofilter area, the laying of bark chips,
and plantings in this area.
