HomeMy WebLinkAbout22-159RESOLUTION APPROVING APPLICATION FOR FISCAL YEAR 2022 EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT PERFORMANCE GRANT PROGRAM WHEREAS, the Butte County Board of Supervisors is the, governing body of the Butte County Operational Area; and WHEREAS, the County of Butte recognizes the need to participate in programs that enhance the overall mitigation, preparedness, response and recovery capabilities of focal emergency response agencies from natural and manmade hazards: and WHEREAS, the Fiscal Year 2022 Emergency Management Performance Grant Program will provide up to $177,188 in funds to support activities that contribute to the mitigation, prevention, preparation, response and recovery from emergencies and disasters, whether natural or man-made; and WHEREAS, the resources provided by the grant will meet the stated goals of the Butte County Disaster Council, which represents the incorporated and unincorporated jurisdictions of Butte County. NOW THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED that the Butte County Office of Emergency Management shall apply for the funds available from the, Fiscal Year 2022 Emergency Management Performance Grant Program; and IT IS FURTHER RESOLVED that the Chief Administrative Officer, Assistant Chief Administrative Officer and the Deputy Administrative Officers of Butte County are hereby designated as authorized representatives of the County of Butte for the purpose of receipt, processing, and coordination of all inquiries and requirements necessary to obtain the assistance provided by the Fiscal Year 2022 Emergency Management Performance Grant Program, PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Butte County Board of Supervisors this 81h day of November 2022, by the following vote: AYES: Supervisors Ritter, Kimmelshue, Teeter and Chair Connelly NOES: None ABSENT: None NOT VOTING: None Bill Connelly, Chair Butte County Board of Supervisors ATTEST: Andy Pickett, Chief Administrative Officer and C1 k of the Boar f Sup rvisors By: 1�4 A, Jim J Orr a Deputy
