WHEREAS, the Butte County Board of Supervisors is the governing body of the Butte County Operational Area;
and
WHEREAS, the County of Butte recognizes the need to participate in programs that enhance the preparedness of
local response agencies to the threat of terrorism and all hazards natural or man-made; and
WHEREAS, the Federal Fiscal Year 2023 Homeland Security Brant Program will provide non-matching funds for
emergency prevention, preparedness, response to and recovery from threats and incidents of terrorism and all hazards
natural or manmade; and
WHEREAS, the resources provided by the grant willl meet the stated goals of the Butte County Disaster Council,
which represents the incorporated and unincorporated jurisdictions of Butte County.
NOW, THERFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Butte County Deputy CAC, — Office of Emergency Management shall
apply for the funds available from the Fiscal Year 2023 Homeland Security Grant Program; and
IT IS FURTHER RESOLVED that the Chief Administrative Officer, Assistant Chief Administrative Officer, andDeputy
Administrative Officers are authorized to execute for and on behalf of the named applicant, a public entity established
under the laws of the State of California, any actions necessary for the purpose of obtaining federal financial assistance
provided by the Federal Department of Homeland Security and sub -granted through the State of California.
